Is there a restaurant at the site?
At the lighthouse site there is no restaurant but there is a takeout food kiosk called The Grub Box that offers fast food items from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. daily. Guests at the B&B are permitted to bring their own food and prepare it in the fully equipped kitchen, if they wish.
Also, picnic lunches can be ordered at the Grub Box and will be prepared fresh for you. The choices are:
Sandwiches - Turkey, with dressing and cranberry sauce or lobster
Drink - Lemonade, water, tea or coffee
Dessert - molasses buns, raisin buns or brownie
The lunch comes complete with a picnic basket and tablecloth, so you can have your picnic lunch on the granite rocks below the lighthouse or at one of the picnic tables on site. Either location will offer you spectacular views.
Will there be a host family at the B&B during my visit?
No, the Lighthkeepers Inn B&B is owned and operated by R B Lighthouse Inc, which is a nonprofit corporation that oversees the operation of the whole lighthouse site. Your needs will be met by the friendly staff that work on site from 8am to 8pm daily, or later, if necessary, to greet new arrivals and answer questions.
